Itinerary

Tag 1:Arrival at FRA and the UNESCO World Heritage Middle Rhine & Rheingau

Hotel: Koblenz

Drive via the Rheingau region to Rüdesheim am Rhein. Stroll through the historic Drosselgasse and taste the Rheingau’s full-bodied Rieslings and outstanding Pinot Noirs. Continue to Boppard and visit the largest contiguous vineyard area in the Middle Rhine region; these steep, south-facing slate slopes produce vibrant, expressive Rieslings.

Tag 2:The Mosel and its spectacular vineyard terraces, continuing to Cochem

Hotel: Mainz

Today you will travel along the Mosel River. Begin your tour in the historic wine town of Cochem, dominated by the imposing Reichsburg (Imperial Castle). Enjoy a mineral-rich slate Riesling. Continue to Trier for a city tour. Trier is Germany’s oldest city and boasts a wealth of ancient UNESCO World Heritage sites. Transfer to Mainz in the evening.

Tag 3:The German Wine Route (Palatinate)

Hotel: Palatinate

Sample fruity Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris wines from the Palatinate region—straight from historic wine estates—in idyllic towns along the Wine Route, such as Deidesheim or St. Martin. Guided tours of Speyer and Landau, plus free time.

Tag 4:Entering the Alsace Wine Route

Hotel: Alsace / Southern Wine Route / Colmar

The *Route des Vins d’Alsace* welcomes you with historic fortifications and beautiful half-timbered houses.

Guided tour of Strasbourg. Afterwards, continue to Riquewihr/Ribeauvillé, including a cellar tour at traditional producers such as Cattin in Voegtlinshoffen. Experience the difference compared to German wines during a tasting of intensely aromatic Gewürztraminer and fine Pinot Gris.

Tag 5:Colmar, the heart of the southern wine route, and Freiburg

Hotel: Freiburg

Guided tour of Colmar and lunch in the picturesque „La Petite Venise“ (Little Venice) district, accompanied by a glass of Alsatian Riesling and traditional *Flammkuchen* (tarte flambée).

Tag 6:The Kaiserstuhl & Breisgau Volcanic Wine Region

Hotel: Kaiserstuhl

Driving through the Breisgau region with its rolling hills, stopping in the historic half-timbered town of Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. Visit the Cheese Museum. Explore the unique terraces of the Kaiserstuhl; the loess and volcanic soils retain heat exceptionally well, providing the ideal foundation for robust Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir wines. Visit medieval Burkheim and taste the award-winning Pinot wines that are prized around the world.

Continue to Freiburg for a guided city tour. Stroll along the *Bächle* (small water channels) to Freiburg Münster and enjoy the grand finale at the market on Münsterplatz with a final glass of Baden wine.
